Following Colored Stamped Concrete Best Practices

We do things to differentiate ourselves from the competition. For example, we source our concrete directly from Martin Marietta or another reputable manufacturer. In contrast, our competitors might source their concrete from a 3rd party, which has some inherent risks. For one, they don't know precisely what they are getting or how long the concrete has been sitting in the truck. Sourcing concrete directly enables us to inject color into the factory's concrete, ensuring the color is exactly what was ordered. It does not impact the concrete quality. Upon arrival at the work site, our competitors dump bags of color into the 3rd party truck. This wastes time, and there is a high risk that the color will not match what you ordered. In addition, we offer the CDOT mix, which is stronger and lasts longer.

Once manufactured, concrete must be poured as quickly as possible to prevent overworking. Overworking concrete decreases its strength and ability to perform over time.

Stamped Concrete Texture Selection
We have various texture categories, including Paladino, creativebrick, stone, and contractor's choice. Here are a few at a glance.

Color Selection
There is an assortment of colors for you to choose from for your patio design.

Shape Selection
The design of your patio is only limited by the amount of space you have and your budget. We can build curves with a rounded radius, half-moon steps, sitting walls, fire pits, and even wood-like bridges. The configuration and design options are almost endless. Or, we can keep it simple with a functional and economical patio.

Preparation
We will work to do the following after the design and estimate have been approved:

  1. Ensure the ground is compacted well with a gentle grade to direct water away from existing structures. When setting forms, a laser helps obtain the proper grade.
  2. Isolate fixed features and lift the wire mesh or rebar with piers into the center of the slab. You don't want the reinforcement to drop to the ground during the pour.
  3. Maintain the appropriate mixture (or slump) during the pour to ensure the concrete does not dry too fast or too slow. The slump should be adjusted based on the current weather conditions so your patio will function well for many years.
